My daughter received the Melissa & Doug Wooden Doll House Last Christmas. We thought that it would be nice to get more dolls for the house and purchased the wooden Family Doll Set. Didn't even cross my mind that the Melissa & Doug company wouldn't design their wooden doll sets to go with their wooden doll houses and furniture. Big disappointment. On our part we should have checked size but shouldn't these products go together? Not sure I'd recommend the doll houses & doll sets to anyone or purchase any more of their products.

These were fantastic dolls for my grand daughters doll house. We really like how you can pose the people and make them stand on their own or sit them on a couch. A bonus for us was the little baby that comes with the set. Might not be a big deal for some people, but my grand daughter loves babies and the first words out of her mouth when we unvieled the dollhouse was "Where's the baby?" And there it was. Fantastic!

Bought this for my granddaughter. She plays with the dolls all the time along with her wooden doll house. Even though the clothes cannot be removed (like a Barbie) she does not seem to mind. I believe that it contributes greatly to her ability to play creatively. I would highly recommend this toy!!!

First of all, I love all Melissa & Doug products and this little family of dolls rank right up there. I bought these to use with the Melissa & Doug tree house - they are perfect! Sturdy and beautiful in their simplicity, I am happy to highly recommend them. Noticed the price fluctuates a bit on Amazon - but was happy with the product nonetheless.

I purchased these dolls for Christmas for my little girl and I am so excited for her to be able to play with them. They are darling and I love the old world feel to them.

I purchased this 6 months ago for around (...) with the free shipping and it has turned out to be an incredible investment. Even if you can't get that price for it, I'd pay more cause it's totally worth it! My 3 year old is obsessed with everything disney princess and this is the perfect castle for all of our little figurines. She has played with this everyday for 6 months! I eventually packed up her doll house a Little People Castle because this took all of her attention. We have it on a train table with all her little characters in the drawers underneath. The My Little Ponies usually stay in the stable area, Bambi and Thumper play on the lawn and the princesses and princes are always getting ready for balls and dancing together in the castle : ) Even my 18 months old son loves to play with this and push his cars around the castle. (Just a note, we ordered the castle furniture that goes with this, and I don't think I would recommend that addition. The castle is great on it's own - it allows them a space to play with their other toys and be creative. The furniture is a little big for the castle and most of our dolls and figurines can't fit in any other the seats or on the bed so it's kinda been a waste for us) Overall, a great toy! Incredible value! Worth every penny!

I was looking at the Disney castles to go with my daughter's Polly Pockets and small Disney Princess Dolls. They were all cheaply made, plastic, flimsy, and had bad reviews. My daughter has enough cheap plastic "stuff". This is the PERFECT size for her little dolls. It is also very sturdy and so pretty! She has had hours of alone play and hours of play with friends. They have a medieval castle that I want to get her as well. You won't be going wrong buying this. It looks and feels like it would last for years. She loves it, I love it, and I bet as well as it is made, my grandchildren to come will love it.

purchased for our children. originally went for Disney because the girls associated "princess" with Disney. However, even the best Disney castles are essentially cheap plastic ____. Go for Melissa and Doug, very good and durable toys. Just as much if not more fun, and they last while the others simply spell heartbreak as in "sorry honey, daddy/mommy can't fix it, it's broke forever." Enjoy.

We purchased this toy for our daughter for Christmas, and she loves it. Rather then using the figures that come with the castle she uses the calico critters and the Disney princesses to play. Also the furniture we use is for the calico critters. We get a lot of use with this toy and would recommend it for anyone.

My daughter is only two and she is into everything princess. I wanted to get her a doll house for christmas but ran into this and thought it would be perfect. It's beautiful, durable and very well made. There is something about wooden toys that make them so much better for the younger kids. She absolutely loves it.

I bought these dolls to go with the KidKraft Georgia Peach Dollhouse and was very disappointed in everything about them. They look cheap, they don't move, their clothing is glued on, and their hair (after a couple of weeks of play) is a huge rats nest. I am with most of the other reviews in that I would have just ordered Barbie's instead had I known that these dolls were such a rip off. I can't even believe that they are selling them like this. My daughter still plays with them, but gets annoyed and asks for help every time she tries to sit one down at the table or on the couch. I would recommend NOT to buy these and find something else!

We bought this to go with a large dollhouse. The faces are not very friendly. They are small. My daughter has not even wanted to play with them since "santa" brought them on Christmas.

My niece really loves her Melissa and Doug Doll Family. It goes great with the doll house she has.

I was really disappointed with these dolls. I ordered them to go with the Kidcraft Savannah Dollhouse. First off, they were smaller than the description. They were so cheap - the material they are made out of reminded me of the Gumby toys, only they're not as easily bendable. It's impossible for my 4 year-old to pose them for her dollhouse. Although she likes them, I wish I had purchased Barbies instead.

pretty disappointed in these and would not reccomend to go with a dollhouse. my daughter loves to role play with this family but I think she would do that with ANY doll family. These figures are VERY hard to stand up, and I have a lot of difficulty getting them to bend. I ended up buying her a different family for her dollhouse because I knew these would cause a lot of frusteration. Now with that said it is a nice looking family with realistic features and the hair is soft.
