I love to shop for shoes and so does my daughter. She started a collection a few years ago, and I thoubht they were very life like and beautiful, and with these minitures, you don't have to worry if they come in your size! All that I have ordered from you have been beautiful. They make a great gift.

This gavel proved useful to me as the 119th Horcrux in my collection of soul keeping objects. As this means that I have in fact killed that many people, I believe that this gavel is a metaphor to life. It will more than likely be the gavel that sentences me to many long and painful years in jail, being overpowered by burly women with tattoos of Hawaii and things like that. This gavel, containing a minuscule portion of my soul, will be stored away and forgotten, eventually broken and I will still be rotting away on the backside of some unfortunate bald woman's head.

After the years of scrolling through all the hoopla of the internet and mundaneness of everyday window shopping, I finally found it. It was actually available and ready for me to purchase: The Godinger Crystal Gavel I always wanted and dreamed of! So I did it. I bought the gavel and had it overnighted to my home. I was never more excited for a gift that I gave to myself before this one. It was so shiny; so magnificent in its glow like no other gavel my eyes had ever laid eyes on and it was all mine... so I thought. I tell you people, beware of this "crystal" beauty that says so much with its loud BOOM when she hits the wooden podium. For if you look close enough, you can see right through this deceitful little thing. Little did I know, it came with four more smaller versions of itself. I was never more disappointed. Everywhere I tried to go, those little gavels had to come with us without a doubt. "I want to go to court today" they would say with little hits against anything they could get their little over sized gavel heads on. I hate to say it, but I had to let the gavel and its four spitting images go into some other, more patient jeweler's home. Have fun with the gavel... and it's mini duplicates.

Well you see, I bought this crystal gavel originally for my new house that I had just gotten with my boyfriend of the time. My boyfriend's parents were going to come by and see the house for the first time. Of course I wanted it to look nice. And grown-up. And sophisticated, and all those other colorful traits that adults claim we need when we spread our wings and take on the "real world." I thought to myself, how to be more sophisticatedly colorful than with this crystal gavel, regally perched on my mantle. My crystal gavel, sitting there, for all the world to see; an emblem of my leaving the nest and growing up. I got the crystal gavel on a Friday, only three days after ordering it (very snappy service). I was so excited! I showed my boy-toy and we carefully set it up on the mantle for all the world to see. It looked so important up there and it made me feel older and official. We couldn't wait for his parents to come see our new house! Friday night we ran through the house one final time, straightening throw pillows and making sure that the curtains hung just right. The boy's parents were coming Saturday morning and everything had to be just right. As we spooned in the bed I kept getting this creepy feeling. It was the kind where I was overwhelmed by a sense of someone watching us but the boy assured me that I was imagining it. Then. There it was. A whine issued from a stair or floorboard. Then a clanking noise, a clinking and a clanking. By this time the boy-toy was out cold, so I just snuggled deeper into his chest and willed myself to fall asleep. I was absolutely not getting up to go and look. I've seen the horror movies where dumb girls subject themselves to meaningless deaths because they're overly curious. I am not overly curious. I wish I had been. Saturday morning is a blur. I woke up to a grisly scene of blood and a pile of mush where my boyfriend used to be. I ran to the bathroom, threw up and then called the police. What we discovered is unnerving. Beneath my boyfriend's pillow was an barely legible arrow, scratched onto a piece of paper. It pointed towards my previously unnoticed cracked window. Walking out onto my balcony, I looked down onto the pavement below and there was my sophisticated gavel, shattered into pieces. It's hard to believe, but the gavel was the cause of my boyfriend's death. Too bad there was no warning on the label.

Looking at the crystal gavel reminds me of something Shakey taught me which is, everything's cheaper than it looks. This philosophy was born during his Ditch Trilogy period. Essentially, he attached his early success and fame to one-sided explorations. For example, one can easily hear Heart of Gold and imagine that John Denver might have written such a lightweight song. It might be interesting to perform an experiment in which a subject is exposed to a medium and then asked to select from a group of expensive objects or cheap objects. Perhaps Shakey's reaction to his success was to challenge this concept by daring an audience to follow him in to The Ditch, as he called it. I interpret the songs from these albums as bare and fragile emotional train wrecks, but simultaneously useful and beautiful. I suspect what draws people to the crystal gavel is the same thing that draws me to The Ditch.

When I finally held the crystal gavel in my hands I felt as if I was holding a piece of crystal that held the answers to the universe. It was as if I was staring at the love child of Baudrillard and Bowie. I was overcome with joy, and decided it would inspire my graduate thesis. The crystal gavel remained on my desk throughout my dissertation. It provided me with hope, and motivation to keep writing regardless of how ridiculous my dissertation started to become. My professors began to tell me that my ideas weren't quite fitting together correctly, but the crystal gavel told me otherwise. Late at night it helped me string together words in ways I would have never imagined. I stopped sleeping and started spending all my time with the crystal gavel; I was hoping it would provide me with more of its intelligence. And of course it did. It never let me down. I ended up leaving grad school and spending a few months in the local mental health facility. But I've returned home to my faithful crystal gavel.

These are well made and my grandaughter loves them. She puts them all over her toy barn and on the roof.

I bought this as a stocking stuffer and it's exactly what you think it is. A bunch of little plastic cat toys. My two year old likes playing with them and mixes them in with his lego men and little people and other little toys.

My kids really like these little animals. I also gave them away as birthday treats, and used them as birthday cake decorations. But the kids just loved playing with them.

this is very cute, but it is very, very small. there are lots of little pieces, my kids tried playing with it but they keep knocking things over in the process, because it is so tiny,so they haven't enjoyed it as much as i would have liked them to.

I recently started a hummel collection. This book is a MUST have. Hummel collecting can be complicated and making sure that you are getting a good value is almost impossible without this book. I highly recommend it.

The book, as a resource guide, contains a wealth of information; it is a very useful, very informative reference guide. The binding, however, stinks. Within 1 day of using the book in a normal manner, the pages started to come out due to the inferior method of glue binding. They should have stuck to the spiral binding method.

this book was very nice and the added touch of color pictures was a pleasant surprise.

This book made it extremely easy to reference, cross-reference and catalog my collection of Hummels. Although I realize that the market value of these figurines changes frequently, the book will still give me a starting point for years to come.

We have remained collectors of Hummel Figurines since 1971. Currently we have some 93 Hummel Figurines and 1971 thru 1982 Hummel Anniversary Plates. We like to keep up with the current values of these beautiful collectible pieces and have found the Robert L. Miller price guide to be full of great information and very thorough. We truly enjoyed our visit to W.Gobel Porzellanfabrik GmbH & Co. KG located in Rodental, Germany where we were invited to watch and speak with so many artists at work. Note: Amazon.com. My daughter loves polymer clay and my wife saw this book so she told my daughter about it. My daughter got so excited she couldn't wait to order it. When we got the book, it was in excellent shape. Maureen Carlson is a awesome sculptor and my daughter said she does not know how Maureen created those realistic faces even though there are steps for it!

Maureen is such an amazing artist. If you are wanting to make figures in clay, then her books are a great place to start. I have several of her books now, and I love them all. Each one teaches you something more. Also this book came in great condition for a used book. Really good seller.

How to make clay characters by Maureen Carlson is not available to buy in Australia. I had it on loan from my local library but only for limited periods and it was never long enough. I am happy to say that although it may have been printed initially a long time ago I am delighted to have obtained it as it has such excellent instructions and lots of handy hints for the polymer clay first timer onwards.To anyone reading this revue who wants another hobby to try (even in Australia) buy this book and you will be hooked. The mere fact that it is still in print is a sign of how good it is for any age. Easy to follow and great fun all you need is polymer clay your imagination and this book.

I have four of Maureen Carlson's books. They are all fantastic. This one is my favorite. Very clear instruction. Gets you started and wanting to sculpt all the time. I love it!

Indeed a marvellous book you should have as one of your clay-book collections. Maureen has good eyes and different angles when seeing new things, and new thoughts to convert them into brilliant figurines. I love her ideas of how making the snakes and the dragons, and her tricks to get new color mixtures are awesome. I almost bought her books entirely, and have no regrets so far. Thanks to Amazon for superb service, even though I must bear waiting for a month and so for my orders. My advice, you always can give your book collections to your kids when you no longer need them.

Very pleased with the Wee Little Garden Gnome and book. He's adorable if you like gnomes. He is so perfect for a kitchen windowsill beside a plant, inside a terrarium, in a pot of flowers, to carry in your pocket, etc. I bought several to give to friends & family for Birthday gifts, etc. He makes such a nice little gift addition to a card for a small present. I'm also putting one in my Grandaughter's Christmas stocking.

I got my Gnome at Barnes and Noble, although it's the same one as described. My gnome has a greenish face, but other than that, I love him. He is a wee bit smaller than I expected, the box literally fits in the palm of my hand, therefore the gnome himself is smaller (1.5" wide, 3" tall). I'm not sure where I will keep him. My car, desk at work... or maybe he'll just travel with me in my purse.

He is so adorable, and looks great in the little planter he lives in outside my front door!

Ever since I saw the Foreign Film, Amelie, I have been in love with garden gnomes. I would love to have one in my yard, but since I live in an apartment, I can't. This is the perfect trade off! It is small enough to fit in a suitcase (or pocket) and fun to have in photos. It is a silly little thing but always makes me smile.
